has anyone else had trouble with CF decals. The new Tamiya Ferrari F1 bottom plate decals have dulled and brush streaks left behind after I brushed it with Future, never happened before, and will I be able to spray this with a gloss coat without damaging the CF decals, help please

well I guess alls well that ends well, I decided to use Testors glosscoat on the CF decals on the bottom plate of the Ferrari, and if you read the build up in Scale Auto my plate looks just like that so on to the rest of the build

I think the softening solution can sometimes leave a residue that reacts strangely to certain clears. Thats  my only theory.  I've done a lot of racecars with carbon fibre decals and have had a lot of different effects as to the depth of the look and even the amount of shine with different clear coats that I have used. I will wait now a day or two until the decals are very dry and then wipe them down with a moist rag to get rid of water marks before I clearcoat them

Feelings are like scents: The more they are analyzed, the worse they smell.

thanks justmike, you know I did the same thing I have done on all my models that have CF, and none of them acted that way, but the clear coat went down well and they look great
