1/18 UT Porsche 962 Customized
Posted by DRUMS01 on Friday, June 22, 2018 7:16 PM

This started as a very simple (budget) die-cast. The following items were done:

- Complete disassembly and internal repaint

- Partial external repaint

- complete detailing of interior to include PE belts, hoses, wires, switches, gauges, proper floor bracing with cut-outs, mounting jigs, etc.

- replacement of rear wheels with period correct ones.

- total rework and customization of engine area to include all fittings hoses, etc.

- total reconstruction of lower chassis and structure under rear bonnet.

- rework of headlight buckets assemblies.

- created proper turbo configuration and plumbing to include holes in the side body panel.

- numerous other items which I cannot remember. All that remaind from the original 1/8 car was the body, front wheels and some of the paint.

Talk about looking like 1:1. That engine compartment looks so real you'd thought you took a real car and miniaturized it. Excellent, Excellent work.
