1/14 Burago Ferrari 312 T5 - Modified
Posted by DRUMS01 on Friday, May 25, 2018 12:35 AM

Here is my first addition to our forum. It started as a toy (with no detail and incomplete under the die-cast body). I want to thank Michael from Indycals for making the custom 1/14 decals for F1 champion Jody Scheckter for my build. Other than the PE seat belt and a couple fittings, everything else other than the most basic body and chassis was built from scratch using plastic, brass, aluminum, solder, various hose and wire I sourced, etc.. The body was stripped and painted with Tamiya primer then Tamiya Italian Red.

After months of research and scratch building, here are some photos both along the way and the finished product. I hope it brings some of you as much joy as it did me to building it.

WOW!  That is amazing!

Another great F1 machine created from decidedly lesser stock. Your work on these simple toys to bring them to an outstanding model is quite amazing. You are doing some really great work here. Lovely detailing. Excellent work.

Thanks Gary and Bainford...

I always like doing things a little out of the box Huh?

I've also added another 1/14 Burago Lotus in the forum with similar detail...
