AMT 25 Ford built as a AA/Altered started. Done.

I started this a couple of days ago. I found this body in a box of junk parts in the attic when I moved in, and I've wanted to use it for something for a few years. I did a trade for this kit a while ago, and when I opened it to look at it I said Ahha found it. The chopped body is a little messed up but with a little work it will look nice. It was brush painted many years ago.

The old body fit perfectly on the newer kits floorboard and frame. The motor will be a blown 427 Ford. I had to do a little trimming on the frame to fit it in. Here's a couple of test fit pictures.

A neat resurection project, John. Should be a cool one.

Great Start, so many way to go with the old Fords. Plus I always like seeing old glue bombs and junkyard rescues saved and end up as awesome builds!

Thanks folks Here's more pictures. The body is half stripped after two days in brake fluid. Maybe two more days.

The front wheels are from Competition Resin.

The interior is almost done, and a final test fit on the 427. She's starting to look good.

Finally got most of the old paint off. That was tough stuff. It spent four days in a brake fluid bath and I still had to scrape most of it off with a razor knife. Then it was primed with scratch filler primer and wet sanded. The wheels are good to go.

This is finished and I'll post pictures in a couple of days. I got back from vacation a couple of hours ago. Yesterday at the borders of NC and VA it was 95 degrees. Today in northeast PA it's 48 degrees and raining, the same weather as when we left.

Done pictures. It took longer than I thought because I didn't like the gap between the motor and firewall so I did some adjusting.
