Question on MPC Garlits/Young American dragster
Posted by Wild Bill 426 on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 7:00 PM

The front body on this kit is a bear.  I am on my second one (screwed up the paint on the first) and the seam pretty much won't go away.  Has anyone heard of a resin front body for this car (with no seam) or even a one piece body for the whole thing?  I'm dying to build this kit; it was my holy grail for years, and I want it to be nice!

Hi Bill,

These are ill fitting panels. I sand and fit all the panels first, then I glue them all together to make it one piece. On this one I'm not even using the chassis, so I scratch built a cockpit. Then you don't have to cut the decals to fit. I didn't even paint this body, I just added decals then clear coated with Urethane.

Hope this helps. To see more of my build check out my Fotki :
