Great looking short tracker Tom.  I really like the stane, has thatr just right look/feel to it.  would hate to ee that thing coming at me through my rear view especially if I had the lead.  What did you use for the hood and iss that a resin body?  Most of my models are of the short track (dirt or asphalt) variety so I'm always interested in what others do.  I got my love for these type of racing cars growing up in Southeastern Wisconsin in the 60's.  Great model!

Thanks Al, it is a Monagram 1/24th scale body I narrowed a bit. I am from Milwaukee and spent a lot of time at Hales, State Fair and Slinger in the 60's. I have some of those modified builds I could post, if you like. Thanks for your comment!

Very nice build! I love the modified stockers. I grew up in Iowa and went to the state fair to see the races every year. Thanks for sharing, please post more of your work!

Just looking through some older posts and came across this one.  Really like those old coach/coupe modifieds, and this coach is an exceptional build.  Takes me back to the last glory days of modified racing, before the Vegas, Pintos, and the cookie cutters of today.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!
