2017 ARCA chevy wips

Starting a 2017 Arca chevy. Using the dale junior snap kit. You can get these kits for 9 bucks and change at hobby lobby till they're gone. Pretty good deal considering they were 25 bucks at one time. I never paid that much for them because I always used the 40% off coupon. I'm Changing the front spoiler and headlamp pods. also fixing the rockers.

Thanks guys. That's whats great about these snap kits. Its basically just making the decals and painting, and a few simple body mods. Only thing is I have to spray some metallic silver between the primer coats to keep the blue from bleeding through.

great model, did you try to strip theblue paint off? I wonder if easy off oven cleaner would work or break fluid, just wondering cause I want to use the #2 ford kit and I need it to be all white for the #21 blaney car

R.L. the body is cast in blue plastic so you cant strip it to white. I believe the keselowski ford snap kit is white and I think the new glue kits are white but I haven't purchased one yet so I dont know. However if you spray metallic silver or aluminum between primer coats it will block the bleeding caused by a colored body.

Hey Mark...those exhaust ports look good. That chassis looks ready to hit the track... Also...I was kinda woundering why you have to shoot another coat of primer over the silver. Can't you just 800 that silver and shoot your base coat? Just thinking here...LOL..yes..it does hurt a little...

Thanks, Gary. To tell you the truth, I did not know if the top coat paint would stick to the silver so I went ahead and shot the primer over the silver. I'm kinda cheating on this one and I'm using Tamiya rattle can paint on it. I had a brand new can of pure white and i did not want it to go to waste. I had bought it before i decided to use acryl for the rest of my builds. also this car is one color so I don't have to worry about the masking tape leaving an imprint in the paint if I had to mask for another color.

Started decaling today, so it shouldn't be too much longer.

Thanks, Tom. This one has a little bit different look to it. I was so impressed with the driver, that I had to build this model. If you watch ARCA you probably know who I'm talking about.
