These are beautiful cars. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with this. I was fortunate and came across the metal body kit at a second hand store. What a neat car the Deusy is.

Mike,I have never done a metal bodied kit before!

Got the wheels done, they look ok..

The chassis was done semi gloss and the petrol tank has been fitted.

Just a mockup....

I have decided on gold for the body with probably a green interior.

That will look good. Will you do the roof green too?  Tamiya's green is a perfect match for the engine, btw. One drawback with the metal body is the weight. I had to put clear acrylic posts under the four corners to keep the wheels from eventually splaying out.

Looking forward to seeing the whole thing in gold. The nice thing about all the chrome on the car is that the out of scale spokes on the wheels aren't nearly as noticeable as they would be otherwise

Decided to jazz the engine up with a few chrome bolts (Molotow)

Dusey hiboy anyone?....

Tried the lights, one kept imitating an Appleton.

SORTED!!!

OK Question time, the soft top roof - same green as the interior or dark(ish) grey?

I am inclined to think green for the roof.  Would the green make the gold pop more than the grey does? The interior colors suit the body color so it would seem the roof in green will also. But then, I ain't no interior decorator.  lol

 She IS A DUEZY !!!

Green is perfect for the roof.

Dont worry about the thumb print.... paint it rust and call it battle damage.

Soon to be on the bench...

Looking good.

Exactly what kind of shoes was Mr. Murphy wearing to punch a hole through that floorboard?  The car keeps getting better looking with all the little bits getting added.
