Buddy Baker Polar Lights Dodge Charger
Posted by Tom Louis on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 12:08 PM

My first and , so far, only POLAR Lights Dodge build. I wanted to follow the directions, painted and lettered, I could not get the components to fit. The first picture with the box cover depicts that. Did major surgery to the front end, and repainted the chassis interior and cage, while assembled! One of my more successful masking jobs, if I may say! But now that is finished, I admit, I'm rather fond of it!

I'm impressed! these kits were real turds! It takes a lot of work to get one looking this good, kudos!

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

Yes they were. Thanks fellas. I have three more of these kits and I'm a little scared to attempt the build! Lol!

Are you talking about the Petty car, or more Bakers? Doesn't matter really, you did so well on this one I don't think you have anything to fear. If you need info or photos for any of the Petty Chargers let me know. Cheers!

Nice work. This is perhaps one of the nicest PL Dodges I've seen yet. The stance looks great.

I have the Dave Pearson Ford in my stash, and apparently it suffers from the same lack of kit engineering. Those that have made a decent build of it went to a lot of effort to do so.

Those cars were snooty. They had their nose in the air because of the same poor engineering. I've seen people heat them to lower the nose and cut the wheel wells for the same effect. Other than that it's a superior kit to the assymetrical Charger.
