1987 Dale Earnhardt Wrangler Monte Carlo
Posted by Murphy on Thursday, July 27, 2017 7:40 PM

This is my first build I have posted to this forum. I usually build planes but wanted something different, I haven't done a car since I was a teenager. I've always been a huge Dale Sr. and Bobby Allison fan and grew up as a kid in the 80's either watching the ones we could on TV or listing to them with my dad on MRN.

This one was all out of box except for the roll bar padding. I filled in the door seams    (why they molded these in is beyond me). The blue and yellow was done with Krylon true blue and sun yellow emptied into a cup and shot through the airbrush and finished off with a clear coat. The blue was a shade off from the decal blue but close enough for me.  The rest of the car was done with Tamiya paints.

Decals are the stock ones that came in the kit and I was pleasantly surprised at how well they went on and looked.

Hope you enjoy and hopefully I can get around to doing a Bobby Allison car real soon.

Man, you did great job here! It's obvious you have substantial experience even if it's about plane modelling! Perhaps, after I finish my project at domyessay.today I finally also upload some of my pictures. Thanks for inspiring folks here!
