My next task is to create the external rear view mirror, probably from some rod turned on the Dremel, unless I come upon a small cone on a trip to the big city today.

As soon as I saw the side mirror I thought of a bag of "Gel Pens Tips" (already chrome ) I have in my ' Well , I might use it one day' box. AHEM ! Just an idea . Not sure about the arm part though ...... !

I thought I could find a pen tip that would be useable but still looking. Most are too blunt. Going to Michaels tomorrow to look at metal beads ... they are all shapes and sizes I've used for many small things.
I know I can go knock one out of a plastic rod so it must be my old 60's Mom's Sewing Basket build mantra speaking.

I turned a fat sprew piecedown to the cone shape them chopped the tip off a junk headlight bucket that looked right. Now a pin into the cone with some .02" pieces glued around to to fashion into the mounting arm.

A mockup here to check scale. I think this is it. ))

Just a quick shot with some Molotow Chrome ... need a better coating. Looks like it's been sitting out in the weather.
