Since ya'll had so little respect for my Holman Moody Special T-bird I figured I better just roll out the big gun and be done with it. The line forms on the right and everyone is welcome to use my pen to sign over their titles. LOL

Hey,that's a street car.O.K.,I'll have to break out the 1968 Corvette L-88.Nothing but a wicked 2 seater , and you even get to stay dry when it rains.None of that canvas top stuff, that's for tents.OR,the 1969 Dodge Hemi Dart (that makes me tingle!).That thing got a Hemi?Sweet! For the oval,Hemi Superbird......so fast that they were banned!

You guys realize just how much street racing we've done today? And not so much as a wrinkled fender or single moving violation or point against our license. Ain't this board great? LOL

ya beats the ticket i got back in 1987 for doing 145mph in a 35. My father would raither me be on this doing it like that then coming down to the jail to bail me out. From 16-20 i lost my driving license 4 times for Drag racing on the streets. Then just a couple of yr ago i was out on the strip with the 2000 Monte Carlo Late Editon that i had redone with a blower and the Aluminum front end ( 2 weeks after Thrasher had there's) i got cought racing a loud mouth kid in his 5.0 Saleen. He came up on us right when my buddy was touching us off at the light on Main street. The kid stayed and i ran him through the traps at the tall end. Then i pulled over. He asked me why i ran the 1/4 with him and i told him he was going to right me the same ticket if i ran the Quarter or not. He was cool about it and gave me a brake because of my age then any thing. The kid got his car halled home on a wrecker and taken down town. hehe its so nice to be old.

Don't have a wife and the kid is grown and I don't catch third until around 110 so you guys are still in trouble. And I'm talkin' about running from here to the state line and back. Around the stills up here a quarter mile is a short drive way. LOL

I'll take you up on that challenge .................... as long as the race length is 1/4 mile and we don't have to make any turns ................... if your snake can't run in the 8's, don't bother SmileSmileSmile

Or if it has to be a street vehicle, I'll still take on your snake ........... with the same restrictions as above TongueTongue

but, then again, if we have to make any turns, I'm dead meat with either one SadSad

I may have to grow old ....... but I refuse to grow up

Boys, I think we've all just been introduced to some real speed. No matter what you're driving, you can't outrun a radio. I even wrote a song for my band way back when me and an old lawdog were talking about the old days. Called it "Motorola Man" and it had a line in it that said, "You might outrun my motor but not my Motorola". I know when I've been beat.

I say BRING IT ON! My ride is the Australian Holden concept based on the new Holden Monaro. It's the "HRT 427 Monaro".Cool
http://public.fotki.com/BradRobo/scale_autos/monaro427.html
Some of you might recognise the shape. That's right, this is also what the new Pontiac GTO is based upon.
Those eight throttle bodies in that carbon fibre intake look sweeeet!
Whether it be circle work or a straight line drag, I think this will have most factory cars measures.
This thing has won the last two Bathurst 24 hour races quite easily. This year, two ran and placed 1 -2.Approve

If that Olds does happen to get in front of me (whatever!!),you are right, that's all I would see. That has got one WIDE rear!It would be serving a better purpose if it was pulling a plow somewhere.LOL!!!By the way,you are also right about something else,it's NOT my father's Oldsmobile...........It's my GRANDFATHER'S Oldsmobile!!!!!!!!EAT MY DUST!!!HA HA HA HA HA all the way to the finish line!!!I'll be waiting for you.

Never seen an Olds keep up with the wind alone any car on the strip. And for that new thing.... You can keep it over the pond because when we are done with it all its going to be is boat anchor.

Yes,the wind is faster than an Olds, but to be fair, only by a little bit.Holdens don't count until they're legal for sale i America. We have laws you know!!!

Hey Chas, I think that '32 will beat anything, however, it doesn't exactly sound like a factory car, which is what I'm referring to here. Also, how would you get any traction with that thing?

Vinnietbird, this thing would pass any of your laws. I just think your starting to shake a little.

(I would be very proud to own a boat anchor of that qualityApprove)
