Revell Hawaiian funny car

  • This is my first posting. I enjoy the forum very much. Have learned a lot. This is my Revell Hawaiian funny car in progress. It is about 70% done. I had to take a break after all that detailing. Now I'm getting back to it . Want to have it ready for a contest in August. The fuel ,oil, and water tanks were scratch built, along with the rear coil overs. I cut the molded on springs off of the front coilovers, replaced with alum. tubing and wound wire. The braided line, comb. fittings, and spark plug wires are Detail Master. The blower hat is an older Rev. version. The rear wheels are Polar Lights. The chassis and body are painted with Tamiya met. blue with Testors clear. This model is of the original car. The kit is based on the current restored car or clone[ I not sure which]. I'm using Jim Kellers old unraveling the snake pit article for reference.98091959@N04

  • I'm assuming the way I'm reading your post that the pic on the flickr acct is the reference and if that's the case your photos did not upload may want to check it  Wink

  • Your Hawaiian model looks really good and the 1:1 Hawaiian is not a clone, but the restored original as I've seen a few times in the current owner's garage.
