I started this build a few days ago. I'm going to stay as close as I to the 1:1 I saw at a car show this summer.

I started working on the stance. I did the front with the suspension from the 57 Ford gasser wagon.

Raised the rear end some.

Sanded the chrome trim off.

The hood scoop from the AMT 66 Nova Bill Jenkins kit is close, and the and traction bars from that kit will be OK.

The motor is from the AMT 33 Willys van gasser.

Test fitting the SOHC. With some trimming it fit nice.

I tried paint it with semi gloss paint but I didn't like it so I'm going to go with flat black. I also need to work on the traction bars. also need to work on the gap around the vent window.

I put the whole body in a brake fluid bath because I wasn't happy with the gloss white paint. So I'm back two steps now. I got the traction bars looking a little better, then found the bars that came with the kit so I'll paint those and put them on. Chassis  almost done, and I started painting the interior.

Looking cool, John. Mean stance.
