swap meet
Posted by phil on Thursday, December 25, 2003 9:18 AM
hi guys. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in some kind of online swap meet ( model parts ),say quarterly. It would give some an outlet to get rid of leftover parts from kits. I was thinking of this because i am always looking for bubble skirts or most any skirts, bubble tops, spotlights, early spinner hubcaps, etc. I often hate to buy a complete kit to get a few parts. I just started the 40 ford standard coupe and i am considering making it a sleeper (stock body and interior, but hot flattie engine). I was thinking either the flat head fuelie from the 41 ford woodie str rod or the flattie from the 50 ford pickup custom kit. Perhaps someone has these and would be interested in some kind of swap. I would hope this would be str swaps or at least low buck for builders. There are already enough speculaters on the net and in the hobby. I am thinking of serious model builders helping each other. Hey,just some thoughts. WHAT DO YOU THINK ?

Well, considering I live in south central Oklahoma,I don't think my wife would allow a trip to New York for this event.Don't forget me,and when you trade,or buy those Mopar parts, remember me........I need a kleenex...

I have a free trader board set up to help others (and myself!) find odd parts and wanted kits. Buy Sell, Trade, just be kind!

It's called the Horse Trader...

Please bookmark it, and feel free to pass the link around. It only works of people show up. I've had great luck with it so far.

Phil, if you are still looking for a flathead, I can send you mine. It's the 255 cu. out of the AMT '49 Mercury with optional Offenhauser heads and dual Stromberg carbs on the Offenhauser manifold.
Just let me know!
