Nathan

Hi Dave, You do amazing work. I wish I could build stuff like you do. I remeber seeing a '32 Chrysler in Scale Auto that you built, do you have a thread on here about that or will you soon? I would love to see some better pics of that one too.

Hi NathanSmile

I posted a picture in another thread quite a while back. I 've had several requests like yours, so maybe I should do a thread on this. There are no construx pics, as this was quite a few years ago. I'll take a few new pics and post them either today or tomorrow. Thanks for asking.Cool

Happy modeling Nathan - DaveBig Smile

Very beautiful build, I haven't been around in a while and your build has inspired me to get off my butt and get back to work rebuilding a couple of my old builds from when I was a kid, again very beautiful build

Excellent, Jim. I was about to delete the link to this site. It has been a great asset to model hobbiest and should remain so. Correct call on your part. Thanks.

BTW, in regards to the topicWow!!Wow!!. Amazing.

This thread has now gone through extensive cleanup and editing, because of the off-topic nature of many recent posts. This site and Forum is about car-modeling only, and not personal beliefs; this is not a free-speech issue.

Rather than delete the entire thread, I maintained the on-topic portion, so that Dave's model could still be seen and discussed.

Thanks for your understanding.

Been away from the site a while, just stumbled across this... Dave, I am absolutely stunned. Everything has already been said, so I'll just add one thing: SUPERLATIVE!!

Could this be, possibly, a new bench mark in scale model building?? Would be an incredible effort for someone to top this.

Best. Model. Ever.

Thanks moparaceSmile

Good to hear from youCool. I've been away from this site for a while too. Good to be backTongue. There's some really nice stuff here. I'm having fun checking out all the new builds.

OH MY GOD DAVE!! were the hell have you been hiding this. This would eat up every model of the month on any other site.  Just truly amazing. did you sratch the body to?

Thanks ChrisSmile

133 pieces of plastic and a lot of glue and Evercoat Rage just for the body to get into primer. No kit. All scratch.

Here's some construx pics as well as "During Assembly" pics. The body was created in one piece and then the doors and trunk were cut out and then the jams were built and then the hinging. The hood, front fenders and the floor pan were built separately. Each piece was created and detailed individually, like a kit. I focused on each piece seperately so I wasn't so overwhelmed, especially at the end.

The inside surfaces of the car were finished as smooth as the outside. All the surfaces inside and out were polished, including the inside roof surface. There are no seams or indication of body work inside or outside of the car. I built it like it was a kit body.

Edited to three-image limit

I am speachless, I was also doin some parts to my new build until I looked at this topic and decided to read it. Now Ihave put all my kit parts and tools away back in box. That build is utterly AMAZING, I could not build after seeing your pics, my hands where shakin and my bottom lop was startin to dribble, I have got a puddle on my work surface. Thanks for shareing your build with us, now I am goin into Bill and Ted mode, "we're not worthy we're not worthy"  Amazing.BowBowBig SmileThumbs UpCool                                                http://photobucket.com/Chris-Kits      http://photobucket.com/Airbourne-1                                                                                                                 Davey
