70' Roadrunner Project Turbo Charged
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 08, 2003 5:23 AM
Sorry about relocating it guys. I mounted a turbo on the right manifold from the Buick Grandnational Kit. I put felt in the interior just on the floor. I also changed the intake so the pipes would look right going to the intake. Thats all for now and I open for suggestions !!!

Sounds like a cool project Boost.
What's under the hood? 440? 426? 383?
A 226 with a turbo would look cool (no joking).
I saw a blown and injected leaning tower of power this summer. It was in a '57 Chrysler/DeSoto of some sort. It looked pretty good to me.

It is a 440. I put the Corvette fuel injection manifold on it. I wired the distributor.

I'll keep you updated !!!

I found some slicks in my parts box. They are 10.5's. The ones that are on the Pure Street cars. I painted a little white strip on the tires to simulate shoe polish. I'm still open for suggestions.

Ideas I mean. lol I am making the turbo pipes from solder. I'm going for that old gasser look on the outside but the engine is a mean looking peice. I'm mixing old and new together .to say.

I painted the body and built the roll cage over the weekend. i painted the body purple metal flake. I then sanded some areas and painted them satin black. It will look like a rag on the outside but it will be greatly detailed everywhere else. I took the floppy disk metal things off and on the bottom of the opening where it reads the disket I cut that little strip off. I then took that strip and bent it around the nitrous bottle and that looks like real clamps.

Let me know what you think so far !!!!
