Tony Nancy 22jr need help

Howdy all, I have been building the Tony Nancy 22jr T fuel altered and have come to painting the body. My problem is what colour? All the info I have tells me it was a Candy Red (?) Is this true? Im confused. Any recommendations as to what colour to use?

I don't have itme to look now but I did an Interent search for Tony Nancy and came up with tons of hits

I have some pics of Tony Nancy cars , but he had quite a few.
What time period is the car you are doing represent?
If you are building the red T roadster from the recently re-released kit, copy the color from the car in the link below.

Both the A/MR (Model T body) and the A/R (Model A body) were an orangey-red ........ not candy apple red ................. his dragsters were usually gold and red
