Built using the Revell kit, there is TONS of extra detail added: opened, hinged doors and trunk, fully plumbed and wired engine, trunk and interior detail ( such as opened glove box ), etc. Hope you all enjoy the pics and check out my website link below ( CarModDave's Model Car Creations ) for details on this build as well as many others!

Incredibly beautiful build CarModDave! Thanks for showing us photos of it. I've said this of another builder on the forum but I can easily say it for almost all the models I've seen here. I hope my models turn out half as good as what I see here.

Great stuff, absolutely killin'! Looks like you like to build a lot of different types of cars, too. Keep us posted on your new builds so we can check 'em out.

Hey Ron!

Yep - That's where you've seen it before, on the HH board. You know how we do the scale "Woodward Dream Cruise" to coincide with the 1:1 cruise? Last year the '37 was voted as the "Best In Show" ( this year it was my orange '36 convertible! ). Thanks for the compliments!

Thanks for the kind words! Much appreciated!
The Holden ALWAYS gets attention, just because it's different. By the way, some of the photos are deceiving. The color is actually Boyd's Black and Blue Pearl, which is a really deep, dark purple color.
I made a post here on the board about this model. Here's the link:

Thanks again for the compliments!

Thanks outlaw035! Coming from a 1:1 rodder that means a great deal! I always try to capture the right "look".
By the way, your rods just kick ***!! I LOVE the '32 Highboy. Great flame job and I love the wheel choice. Do you ever attend the October SE St. Rod Nats in Tampa? I missed the show the last couple years. By the way, the personalized plate on my '37 is a direct copy of an actual plate I saw on a rod at the St. Rod Nats a few years back!!
Thanks again!

WOW, thats sooooo nice, good work mate.

Love the open glovebox and oil cooler, only thing that worries me is...... would the oil cooler work where it is? not that it matters much but generally they have to be exposed to the outside.... sorry didnt mean to pick holes mate, very nice indeed. Big Smile

Thanks for the compliments. Actually, that's not an oil cooler - it's the electronic ignition box!

Thanks, Jared!
The hood prop is a polishied piece of piano wire and the "hinge" is actually two photoetched roll cage gussets that were bent into an "L" with a small PE bolt head.

Absolutely incredible detail on all points. It would be really appreciated if you could share some of your techniques and materials especially for the interior and engine compartments. Thanks.
I'm hopelessly addicted to building models. Not finishing them, just building them.

Dave, another excellent build.
I'm not much into street rods but I like the looks of them and you really captured a modern style with this one. I'm also not partial to solid red cars but this one could change my mind. SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile
