Very nice, High Octane! Did those big moons come in the kit or are they aftermarket? Cool Thumbs Up

Thank you and those Moons came with the kit. They are not proper for the Grasshopper build, but I didn't want to put in the effort of searching for wheels and tires.

Cool, old school build, Nick. Nicely done.

Sharp build !

I like it very much. And the vintage Hot Rod Magazine is a big plus.

Funny because I built mine not so long ago, but yours is closer to the real thing :

Your build looks great and just like the box art. Mine I tried to make it close to the Grasshopper car, and I know that I don't have the right wheels on it either.

I wished to build mine as the Grasshopper, just like you. I had even prepared my Rodder's Journal #67 where it appears in a big full color article. But since I didn't have the right decals & wheels (+ a few minor parts), I stuck to the box art.

Box art builds are cool. I made the interior panels and ordered number decals for the 13. I probably should have picked out some better wheels, but I didn't. I forgot what paint I used but I was pleased with the results.

Your wheels are not shocking at all, one can imagine that they put Moon wheel discs on when they raced the car. I seem to remember that I used Testors pearl Jade green paint or something like that. Very very long to cure but extremely shining, even without polishing.

By the way, your green is very appealing too, I like it very much.

Nick...very cool.

BTW, a certain model car company executive we both know is currently working on a super-accurate replica of the real car, from what I understand.....

Cheers....TIM

That's Green !

Is that based on MONOGRAM's Black Widow kit?

Not the Black Widow kit, but Monograms Green Hornet kit.
