Revell '49 Chopped Merc

I'm not much of a car modeler, at least, I wasn't while I was still a repair tech.  Now that I'm in the office, I might be adding more cars to my collection!

This is my first car in quite a few years, Revell's Chopped '49, the Figure is from American Diorama, a company that makes figures for model railroaders.  I promptly stripped his paint job and refinished him, adding a faded tattoo and a pack of smokes rolled up into his sleeve!

Nicely done, both the Merc and figure look great!

Great job with this build.  I remember well, as a kid, seeing the older guys in Tee shirts with a pack of Lucky Strikes or Camels rolled up in their sleeves.  They used to come by my uncles dirt-floor shop to get their cars tuned or sometimes rebuilt.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!
