1/8 scale t bucket
Posted by RT80BIRD on Monday, March 18, 2019 4:44 PM

Wantimg to build my big 1/8 scale t bucket kit from 1979. Just took off shrinkwrap and this thing is huge! However i cannot bring myself to put the chevy engine in it. Does anyone make a resin Ford V-8 or flathead for this thing?i will need the entire engine and possibly tranny also. I saw a Buick nailhead on ebay that may work but my initial thought is Ford.

The Revellogram Big Deuce has a 3X2 carb Flathead.  Maybe you could work a trade with someone who has one.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

Yea thats possible. I may just buy the buick engine if nothing else comes up. I want to put dual carbs on it with velocity stacks if i can come across them.

If your'e due a birthday prezzie ... try shapeways.com they do very nice 1:8th bits .

A cheaper way though..

Do you remember those late 90's Muscle Machines ( cartoonified / ala Zingers )with the oversized hilbourn injectors / blowers ... Gassers / Merc's / Mopars etc etc ...

have a guess what the ' inlets ' look good on !

I got the modern Big T re-release with the delicious moon caps & whitewall piecrust slicks and turtledeck . Ca'nt wait to see yours !

I've also got the 65(??) Stock Vette - now gassered with a blown sbc as there was loads of spare options from the T .

Good luck !
