Revell 1930 Ford Coupe Hot Rod
Posted by Dennis Lacy on Tuesday, November 06, 2018 11:01 PM

Hey Everyone! I haven't posted anything on this forum in 4 years according to my profile. Yikes! Dead

Here's a Revell 1930 Ford Coupe that I finished up recently. For anyone who knows the kit you'll noticed right away that it's heavily modified from what Revell gives us. For anyone who doesn't know the kit you can take my word for it that I heavily modified it from what Revell gives us. LOL!

Any comments, good or bad are welcome!

That's a very sharp looking coupe, Dennis, and the flathead is very realistic.  Where did you source the carby intakes?  They look so accurate.  Cheers.

Thanks, Steve!

The carburetors are from the most recent issue of the Ed Roth Tweedy Pie T and they come with those fantastic scoops molded to them. You get 6 carbs per kit and I stocked up so I'd have plenty to use. Be aware that except for the original Tweedy Pie issue prior issues don't have these carbs as the kit was modified in the 80's, carbs/scoops included. For the most recent issue Revell restored all of the original Tweedy Pie parts.

Way, way sharp, Dennis.  Really well concieved frame mods and the conversion to the Halibrand/transverse leaf setup out back.  Also those headers perfectly capture the spirit of the project.

Man it would be cool to have yours sitting next to Fred Farrand's just completed version for a side-by-side 1/25th scale comparo....both would be hands-down winners.....TIM

Thanks, Tim!

That would make for an awesome photo opp! I can't wait to see finished beauty shots of his A Coupe. From the teaser picture you shared it looks killer!
