I don't think I've ever built a model with fender skirts since I'm not crazy about them, but your build is so smooth and seamless I will reconsider this. Really nice work on that.

Thanx guys, I appreciate the comments ! The older I get, the more this style of building appeals to me. Sometimes, simple is better.

Handsome and impeccably turned out! A beauty. Besides the totally cool louvered bits, the first edition-only details like the side pipes and the wheel covers. And detailing the stock interior in red and white the way you did works a treat for that period look!

FYI, Roger did the masters for the louvered set (hood top, hood sides, and trunk lid) and provided them to Ed Fluck who offers them in resin. The fit and finish of Ed's pieces are faultless. If you want them Ed can be reached at:

Pure lines without distraction. Like sterile but only in a good way. Reminds me of the other red bolt-on hot rod i saw here not long ago.

I built this a couple or so years ago. Occasionally, I like to take an old AMT kit and just build it out of the box with a few changes, but no details. The only pieces that aren't from the box are the louvered hood, sides and trunk.
