1/24th-1/25th scale universal joints: aftermarket sources for these? Info for scratchbuilt ones?

Hi folks!! I'm doing a Tom Daniels Pie Wagon that someone started. The kit was "bashed for the rear axle "pumpkin", I'm substituting a Reps & Mins Co. of MD. Halibrand quick-change in the missing part's place. Looks O.K!! Now, the kit set-up had no U-joint detail: I wish to provide this. R&D Unique once marketed nice U-joints in white metal, but appararently no longer. If I can't find these at an aftermarket source, I'd also  like some info on making them from scratch. Anybody out there done this lately? (and NO, I don't have a lathe handy at the moment!) Thanks for any helpful info!

"In Aspic ?? " Great "Original" prog ! LOL Er Right where was I ..... I have some assorted diameter Evergreen tubing , theoretically , its 2 "c" shapes and a "+" shape in between . Or , do you have any old drive shafts you could "cut the ends off of " ??

BTW , check out "Coffin Corner" they specialise in "Show Rods"......
