Different 41 Willys Coupe kits, what are the differences?
Posted by DocWatson on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 8:10 AM

ok, this is an odd and old question but I have been digging for hours to find some pictures to show me the differences in these kits.
It may sound odd but I just cant find any pics to show me the differences in these kits!
I would love to see the different chassis, Motors/drive lines, the differen interiors, the insides of the bodys, bonnets (Hoods), boot lids etc.
I would just to see all the differences between the Revell/Monogram/AMT/Testors/Polar Lights 40-41 Willys coupe kits.
Any help or guidance to where I can fing some pictures to guide me would be so very appreciated !
Thank you to anyone that can help me out!!

The Revell kit is a '41 Wilys while the AMT is supposed to be a '40 Willys with a '41 tilt front end. The '40 Willys has a split grille while the '41 does not. I just love Willys gassers myself and attend a "huge" gasser meet every summer with cars attending from around the country.

I would suggest going to http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/ and looking under AMT for their Willys instructions (go to the one with the yellow cars and the checkerboard box) and compare that with the Revell Willys instructions, although all they have are the street rod and not the gassers.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!
