There was a 32 Frord sedan drag car called the "Orange Crate" that used an Allison engine.  I think it was Revell who made kit of it.  Put 32 ford orange crate in your search and find articles on the kit and the show car (which actually was raced).

It doesn't get much more "industrial" than that. Smile

And of course, with the aircraft engine, it would have the torque to spin those monsters.

I'm sure you were kidding with that pic, but it sure is interesting. Smile

Just keep picking away at it...

I don't think that would be allowed to compete in a demolition derby.

Beside's .... Can you imagine the size of the "wheelie bar's " you would need, just to keep the nose on the ground ?

It would be a "BEAST" on the sand tho.....   !!!

Dont worry about the thumb print.... paint it rust and call it battle damage.

Soon to be on the bench...

Guys,it is NOT a problem, the 70s in Northern Ireland was a bad dark time! My dad used to drive a friend to work,he was RUC - police force and he would sit there revolver in hand ready to shoot if ambushed...

The avvy, not a prob as it will be changed often, like allready!Laugh

Nigel, YIKES!!  Despite many unpleasant experiences, I have never seen anything like that.  I understand what you mean.  I am glad that you channel your energy toward modelling.  I would follow your threads, even with a creepy avatar, but I am glad that it is not so creepy.  Smile  I had to look up British traffic signs to understand what the new avatar means, but I got it.  We don't use an "end of speed limit" over here.  Usually after a slow section the faster speed is posted with a "Resume" placard underneath.

Timmy, I know what you are talking about.  I am on number three!  Third time is the charm though.  Thank goodness for her, and modelling.  Makes the world a better place.

Just keep picking away at it...

What I actually meant was witnessing British troops collecting body parts after an IRA  bomb blast in Belfast!

OOPS !!!!    Sorry.

Didn't mean to make light of your life experience's.   Sorry.

( But my divorce was a "Horror" movie..... with NO comic releif ! )

Didn't mean you had to change your creepy picture either.

Is that what a police cam looks like over there?

( Look's like your doing a "scale" 140 mph!)

( Or is it 200 Kilometer's per hour?)

Dont worry about the thumb print.... paint it rust and call it battle damage.

Never seen the show.  Probably wouldn't be able to sleep. Smile

Stripping some of the chrome with bleach, but if poss want to keep the reflector portion.

Was thinking about the turbo situation and think it would be better if all the ports feed the turbine..

Fitting the toeboard/floorboards to the tub.

Here it is after 3 coats of rust treatment........

I agree with timmy.  "Industrial".  I like the wheels on the truck at the top of the thread.  The rears have the big hub and axle flange sticking through, and the fronts are very "industrial" with the big exposed lug nuts.  I was picturing a fire engine type look.

As it happens I have a set of truck wheels/tyres on their way to me.......hmm...hmm....Laugh
