Meyers Manx Purple
Posted by PatrickW on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 10:21 AM

I started this a week ago. This is a limited edition Manx and in a see through metalflake colour.

To break up the all over see through colour I have added chrome stripes, Alloy two piece Centreline style wheels with front rubber tyre and rear paddle style resin tyres from Teds Model Marketplace, using haberdashery pins as bolt heads on the front wheels.

I also used the chrome tape on both top and bottom of the floorpan and the fuel tank. Painted the chromed engine fan and chrome tape on the covered pulleys with acrylic clear blue, and plug wired it.

Modified the exhaust and widened and lengthened the rear bash plate.  The front seats and luggage area and steering wheel rim are in enamel brush painted red/brown. The dash is also chrome taped.

See through to fuel tank!

This is the last (sob sob!) of my eight Manx builds,(no more on the shelf) until I think up another theme for more of them!

Looks great. Too bad Round 2 mucked up the top with the copyright garbage.
