Hello, Bill. I commented in the "testing forum" after I saw your photo on the 56 Ford. Blew my mind! What a beauty!!  Can't wait to see the finished build. Either of the 2 colors you mentioned sound really good. I can actually see the the car in a number of colors so maybe you need to build a few more!!! I owned a 56 Customline (and other old Fords) for about 15 years and really miss the car. BTW, I love the stance on your car. I will be following and thanks for sharing.

Why not just two tone it the grey and red you mentioned?

If you can't find or afford to buy it, Build or make it yourself.

On my bench: 57 Ford skyliner, 56 chevy gasser, 57 ford gasser, 2- 72 Novas , 69 nova, 54 chevy fieldcar, 61 Galaixe ,  63 Buick electra convertible..along with  a handfull of stalled builds I need to finish. Basicaly too many.

Looks great so far, whatever you do leave the stance alone! Colors are subjective, but if you're gonna two tone it,don't use the moulding as the divider, just paint the roof a different color.I have one of  those started as a NASCAR Ragtop,Don't know when i'll finish it.Good luck with yours! Bigkenny

I didn't think that a '56 Ford could look "mean" but the stance and subtle bodywork on  yours gives it a real aggressive look- I like it!  You cold two-tone it, using the molding as a break and paint the roof the bottom color- kind of like a sandwich.  What kit supplied the engine and induction?

This will look great! Never got around to building my kit, also from the four pack set. But one of these done as a street machine, I think that's the way to go. If I may, I'd suggest Testors Once Coat Graphite Dust. I think it'd look perfect on this! I used it on my ' 64 Falcon, which you can see here.

Having a busy summer explains why you disappeared into thin air! It was worth the wait! Great job and I'm looking forward to more pics.
