California vette
Posted by charger74 on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 9:36 PM

I finished this restoration of this old monogram kit a couple of days ago. Its built out of the box. The only change i did are the tail lights. When i took the kit apart, the original ones broke in many pieces, so i took the tail lights from a 1979 trans am and trimmed them to fit. Thanks for looking, all comments are welcome

Awesome work. The paint especially looks good. What color /brand did you use?

That California Vette is beautiful and wish that I had kept my kit. All I have are parts to use on a future build such as wire wheels & tires and the side view mirrors. I may also have the engine too, but not sure.

Beautiful restoration, Charger.  I sure hope Revell can find a way to reissue this kit.  I have a rebuilder in my stash; complete except for the rear view mirrors and backglass.  Hope the forum is up long enough for me to share it!
