67 Chevelle W.I.P. 6/23 hood and radiator
Posted by fUaLtLiNeGrOuNdZeR0 on Sunday, May 23, 2010 10:08 AM

Heres my W.I.P. 67 Chevelle I hope you follow along as I progress to the finish.

This will be a exact replica of my 1:1 chevelle and I will post pics of both as we move along. Im starting with the Revelle California wheels Kit. My plans are to build a full working chassis in order to do that I needed a seperate frame and the one in the revelle 67 impala works out just fine once I shorten it and narrow it a bit.

Here Ive started to fill the frame

now I have to resize the frame to fit the chevelle body

Stay tuned for more

Hey Fellas heres some of the work done on the rear end I started to make stock trailing arms but since this is a replica of my 1:1 I figured I better do it right so i made tubular trailing arms. And for anyone interested in the 1:1 build of my Chevelle heres the link to it on car domain http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3842342

I know the rear coilovers are a tad high, I'll be replacing these with smaller ones this is just a mock up for fit

Can anyone tell me how to make these pics smaller ????

Pictured below is the motor in my 1:1 67 Chevelle im working to build the 1/25 as close to this one as possible.

I started with a Ross Gibson LT1 427 Big Block the motor in my 1:1 is a 454 bored 70mm over .

This is the kit motor before I get to change things a bit I didnt like the kit headers (pictured) so i decieded to make my own....

Switchblade906
This looms like it's gonna be an awesome build! I wish I knew how to build stuff from scratch like that.

Switch blade scratch building is simple and fun , It's really a matter of shapes and material look at the parts you want to replicate and take it apart mentally by its differant shapes then find a material you are comfotable working with and dive right in making shapes and cutting and filing untill you get what you want. Dont be afraid to make mistakes because we learn from our mistakes just keep going untill you get there. thx for watching this build and feel free to ask if you have any questions. Romell

To make the header collectors I glued a piece of brass tube to the end of the header then slipped a piece of heat shrink tube over the two, shrink it and paint the new collector with Alclad Aluminum paint.  Its that simple! Big Smile

You can get it at any electronics store or even the electronics department of any store that has one.  It is basically just some vinyl-like tubing that shrinks when you heat it.  I use a small butane torch but a candle works just fine.  If you go to briansmodelcars.com and look in the tutorial section, they have some tutorials on making sidepipes and headers that use this method.

Great build Romell.  I have seen some of your work before and it is simply amazing.  Will be watching this one.

Nice project. Why are you not posting under your old name Aftashox?

My old name was banned because of a misunderstanding when I built my Lifted Ford F350 and the the editor wont lift the ban. Although he knows im back under this name.

Hello fellas I recieved my Shot gun Bill scoop in the mail yesturday but when I placed it on top of my motor it was too short, so i had to add some brass tube to it and reshape it....I hope you enjoy the pics.

Here you can see the brass tube has been added...

I used Squadrens white putty to fill and shape the new added tubes. After I get the final shape I cover the whole thing in CA glues it acts as a hardner and seals it. I then do my final sanding
