08 Bullitt Mustang Finished!

 I didn't know how many images I could attach at once, so I made two posts.

Cooooool!  Love it!!  I just picked up this kit myself.  Not sure if I will ever get to build it, but I HAD to have one! 

You said you had to putty the spoiler holes.  They left them there for the kit? Huh... I guess they just used the GT body.

 Thanks for the compliment, there isnt much difference between the kits. It is the same body you just get the extra Bullitt parts like the srut tower brace, wheels, intake, and grill.

Looks great..The paint looks AMAZING man...I have to ask, what made you not do the trade on the 1:1...just didnt like the Bullitt?

Oh don't get me wrong I love the Bullitt, I just love my 06 more. Plus it has the added convenience of an auto trans. I will probably still get a Bullitt after I graduate college and get a good job.

the paint and engine detail is amazing. might have to pick up one of these kits myself.

 Thanks datsun, one thing I forgot to mention is that I had a hard time with the strut tower brace. Regular cement won't touch it, Its so springy that I had to use medium viscosity CA glue to make it stay. Fyi for everyone, I figured out what is wrong with the windshield in these Mustangs. They are too wide at the bottom, I will probably take the body off and trim the bottom of the winshield. The gap between the body and winshield seems to be getting worse daily. I know that will cost me some points during the National model contest in April.

 Man that paint is nice.  That must have taken a while to buff out.  The model looks great.

 It wasn't too bad, took me about an hour. I use 3 types of wax: 3M Scratch remover, 3M Performance Finish, and something called Big Willies butter wax that I picked up at Fun Ford Weekend.

Sweet ride, it seems to me you perfectly matched the body color! Nice build!

 Thanks guys,I never even took the kit out of its bags until I found a color close enough to the original. Fathom Green was the closest, and even looked better.

 Heres a couple for you guys from last Saturday at my local Hobbytown USA, Its not much; we don't have any actual model shows in my area. I only got third place, but it gives me something to work on.
