Very nice build! I wish I had a camera.

Here's a couple of mine. First one is the recently reissued AMT 67 in Testors Italian Red.

This one is the old AMT 70 1/2 kit in Hugger Orange.

And here's one I'm currently working on, the AMT 97 kit with a 4 color paint job.

Hey Karbuildr, how is that '67 to build? I've always meant to pick up that kit but somehow never have. Saw it a few weeks ago in the hobby shop but couldn't justify buying it since I don't know if it's worth the money. Nice build up, by the way!!

Hi Mike. Thanks for the compliment on the 67 Camaro. I had no serious problems with the build up. Only one area gave me trouble, and that was the radiator/fan shroud assembly. The fan doesn't want to fit inside the shroud, so I had to trim the fan blades a little. Also, the radiator itself is a bit too wide to fit into the engine compartment, and I had to trim off a little on each side. But those were minor problems easily corrected. Otherwise, everything went together just fine. I really like the kit, and I have 2 more to complete one of these days. Too bad the reissue of the 68 was the street machine version, as it doesn't contain stock parts. I reckon one can swap some parts though, from the 67. I believe there may have been a difference in hoods between the two years though, so I'm not sure the 67 hood is correct for the 68 version.

Better be careful where you park'em around here. LOL This is what happens to most of them at our shops. My brother built this one for me for Christmas. He builds some killer dirt car models, ya think?

I love the work folks. great cars!!!!!
Here's my Camaro. Monogram's 1/8 scale IROC-Z. I started on it in 1986 and I'm not finished with it yet!! I painted it with Dupont Centari 99A Pitch Black acrylic enamel.
Hope you enjoy.

Maybe it's just me but I get an error that says "remotely connecting to the site is not allowed"

Any ideas?

I get that too. BTW Eric, the 69 is actually Testors Colors by Boyd Teal. Bad photography. My first attempt.

Sorry Lee, it must just be the photo, plus that Boyd Teal can look really dark from certian angles and depending on the primer color used.

The car looks great...... at least I got the shiny part rightBig Smile

Saright. I used white primer, but like I said, it was my first photography attempt, and I didn't do too well. Hoping for better results with a digital next weekend.

First off Kevlar I love your camaro! I have one of those kits and will get to it some day.

This is my next project. I started it a while back but blew it off for other things.
It is a 69 Camaro with engine parts from the 57 Chevy & 67 Vette kit.....of an it is 1/12 scale! You can see I already got the engine worked out and the hood opening cut. The kit, actually two kits I bought were already started so there was a lot of undo work to do before I started making progress.

I should be back on it next week.

Very awesome cars.Cool The fastest car I ever owned was a 67 Camaro.Smile Buy the way Karbuildr that looks like a 68, did I miss seeing the vent windows? Question for mach12003, I went to your photo site and I take it your are justdande? Nice C5-R, I have two new in package (Revell & Revell of Germany), but new house rules, I have to finish all open models before unwrapping any more. Should get to it some time in the next decade or two. Cowboy My kids want to be able to sell my stuff on ebay when I die.

Hey sa_grr, yep that's me "justdande" stands for "Just Deanna and Eric" (my wife and I)

I have anohter one of the C5's also, the all yealow version driven by the Earnhardts......
it's a little ways down the list for building though, I have a few other cars I need to get done. I only build one kit at a time but my list of what's next is ever changing..........
