440 just my 2 cents. I feel the hemi is often over-done. That's not to take any thing away from the hemi, I mean after all it is a hemi. Am I makin sense here?

?
GTX? Wow. I haven't seen a '68 kit myself. AMT did a '68 Road Runner though. I had one about 11 years ago. Never built it, but gave it to a friend of mine.

I guess in '68 I would probly go with the Non-Hemi big block. You can be creative with the size. You can call it a 440 if ya want. If the mood strikes, you can say it's a 383 too!

But for historical accuracy, the 440 six-pack wasn't available until '69. '68 had the 383.

68 GTX had either the 440 or Hemi, the roadrunner had either 383 or Hemi.

QuestionWhen did you get this 69 GTX? Is it the new reissue? What does the hood look like? All of the 69 GTX models that I have seen and own all have the 68 style hood. I am really interested in finding out if the latest reissue has the right hood.
