Is the latest AMT 69 Plymouth GTX just a reissue ? Did they fix the hood? The Air Grabber vents are 68 style. Has anyone tried to fix the hood on their own?
The 68 vents open on the side and the 69's opened straight up through the top.

Thanks . Thats a start . I know that the 93 reissue of the coupe/hardtop is wrong. I have three of them and even called AMT back in 93 and they sent me a hood but it was the same wrong one (68 vintage).

I have a 69 GTX. I do belive it`s an old Jo-han prom kit. It does have the era correct Air Grabber vents you and Tbird941x mentioned. The air grabber vents open straight up through the top. Unfourtunatly the kit I have is a promo. So the hood is molded in the body. I`m not even sure anyone could do a resin cast of it since its molded into the body.
