Those were the days when you could tell if it was Chevy or other GM, Ford, or MoPar by the sound it made when cranking. Combining a Chevy with a MoPar is... interesting...
I know, I know....Something cute, clever, or insightful belongs here! http://public.fotki.com/skmodelcars

new progress..... the car is primeredand soon to be painted. havent decided on the colour yet but the interior is black. Ive decided it will be a 440 powered car and possibly wear 71 charger stripes. The project is called "The SS R/T" and im gunna make up a backgroud story for it sometime soon

Ranchero + Duster = Ruster! ClownDead
Actually, I once met a guy who put a Dodge V8 in his Ford van. When I asked him why he said he liked the strength of the Ford chassis but liked the reliability of Dodge engines better, so he combined them. Confused
It sure was strange hearing the familiar "ka-ka-ka" of the Dodge starter coming from that Ford....
So much plastic, so little time...

I decided totaly by accident to change the fodge project to a chevy+dodge project. I was looking through some extra model parts and I found an old 1970 chevelle kit. Then i realized its rear end resembles a 71 dodge charger ( the trunk area). Ideas started to rise from my head and i removed the headlight insert on the chevelle and the front end on the charger fits there as well!!!! ill post some pics to show wat i mean

Interesting Project!
How about a R/M 71 Cuda and an R/M 70 Boss 429? Mustang body, Cuda front and rear? "Mustuda"
With the 1/24 scale it may be easier to work with.....

At least it isn't wearing a "Bowtie" LOL!
Drive it like you stole it.....................

Ahhh... just as i suspected some of you think im crazy. Good. I do have a 71 dodge charger i am willing to chop up. the dustang is an idea i kinda like and i also like the idea of using a torino. but if there is anyone out there who is willing to design or help me design the fodge i know it would be sumthing very individual. very very individual. i want the car to combine styles from ford and dodge not just an engine mixup. thanks again guys for startin it off

'bout the only way that I would combine a Ford and a Dodge.
426 Hemi in a '29 Ford roadster pickup!

A 1970-76 Duster mixed with a 1967-70 Mustang could produce a "Dustang"...or a "Muster"!! The two platforms would be easy to combine in plastic form, and you could build a wild 428 Cobra-Jet powered A body Mopar, or a 340 Six Pack powered Mustang!

I would say a torino or fairlane would be the easiest to attach to a dodge.

I'm not sure if you CAN get the kind of help you need. LMAO. I guess if you put a Hemi in ANYTHING it would make it better though.

i thought of some wacky idea of combining a chevy muscle car and a dodge muscle car but im only a beginner modeller and im 14. So for this to work im gunna need some tips and some help from all you custom builders out there. Im open to anybodies suggestions. only restrictions are:
its gotta be a chevy and a dodge.
it cant be a new car (1959-1972 only)
id like it for the cars to be similar sizes just so i dont get in over my headApprove
and most importantly its gotta be so Censored coolCool

i know a fair bit about the dodge side of things but a chevy guy helpin me out would be a gift from above. So firsty off i need car suggestion and we'll go from thereBig Smile
