Sheetmaetal and detail pics for 1966 Mustang?
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, March 20, 2004 11:12 PM
Hi Again,

I am currently at the beginning of a new project and need the help of my fellow modelers.

I am building the P.O.S. Amt/Ertl 1966 Mustang for a diorama piece and I need some sort of way to scratch build the inner fenders and the radiator support frame. I have the plastic that is close to scale and am ready to cut but after looking at my lines and other photos I have it just didn't look right.

So if anyone knows of a book, website, or any other place that I can find this information it would be very helpful.

Also a few pictures of a rusty one would be helpful. I have a few but they are not as rusty as I need.

Thanks in advance

These pics are for a '69 stang, but the structure should be fairly close. unless somone's had a mustang's shirt off they'd never know the difference

A really good source for detail pics are Resto Catalogs, most companies offer online versions or you can order them through the mail. I restore early F-Bodies and the catalogs have very detailed pics of sheetmetal and interior patterns and colors. A quick Google search will open a new world to you . Here is a link to get you started. Who knows after looking through a catalog you might decide to do a 1: 1 build.Thumbs Up
