Looking great!! I agree with Walter that you should try red steelies on that. How about 22" steel wheels? That would put it right in 2004. I think some companies offer 1/1 billets that look just like that now. And I love fox tails on mean cars. Had one on my flame painted matt black '74 Mercedes.....Big Smile

Great job on installing the modern drive train. I love the concept but how about more of a contrast by mounting some "lakes" pipes on it. Red pinstriping on a black car really has that '40s-'50s look. Maybe you could be the first one at the drive-in with 22" moon discs or how about some red "steelies"? Louvers on the trunk! You may have just invented a new genre of hot rod!

Here's one I thought was a cool concept. It's A Revell '69 Camaro done up in 40's style black with an "ace of spades" painted on the side. The car has all kinds of "go fast goodies" inside, but a simple appearance. It's kinda like the 40's-50's street rods. To include the "fox tail" hung from the antenna. Originally this was gonna be flat black primer, but I didn't like how that turned out looking.

The fun stuff is under the hood, and on the chassis. Shoehorned into the F-body is a complete ZR-1 drivetrain, and suspension. The engine is detailed with ignition, linkages, and vacuum lines. The master cylinder has the coiled lines coming out of it as well.

The Idea was to have a simple car. The owner would have blown the budget on the mechanicals, not leaving any money to make the car pretty. So it's not exactly a sleeper.

Check it out & let me now whatcha think
