Viper engine in a 2nd-gen Charger
Posted by The Firefighting Modeler on Saturday, January 18, 2020 10:12 AM

Hello, all. I have Revell's 1970 Dodge Charger. I'm going to put the V-10 engine from the Ram VTS in it. I've noticed that there were a few '68's and '69's on here that were done in the same vein. I would like to please know if there needs to be any modifications done to the engine bay, trans tunnel, and chassis because of clearance issues. Thanks much.

When I did mine, I ended up cutting the front half of the frame off and grafting on a front frame clip from a NASCAR  doner kit then cut off the fender wells and did a custom fender well work. The NASCAR clip have me all the room I needed to add twin truck's and all plumbing. I will have to dig it out and take photos, not complete yet though.

I plan to use some NASCAR pieces. I've also been checking the 1:1 world and noticed that a lot of custom shops use a tubular K-member. Has anyone taken a crack at it? And if so, what was used?
