Roadkill Crusher Impala
Posted by 80'NascarCollector on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 1:40 PM

One iconic impala around is the one from the show Roadkill with his blown big block and distinctive hood scoop.

The 1969 impala is a rare and collectible model, so I found one resin casr on eBaY. I don't recommend that resin as it was full of bubble, warped and you don't get glass with. Was also very soft and brittle, but atleast it was an option.

I tried to replicate the Crusher engine with the Moroso valve cover , Weiand blower and the hood scoop

Its currently on my bench and i'm at the weathring stage. So its almost done.

for the blanket, I found the best possible image online, then cut and copy multiple time on window 10 paint program add a little color and voilà. I printed it on plain paper use some white wood glue. It didn't have to be perfect in my case lol

Not much for the rat-nasty unfinished look.  However this is one impressive build, excellent weathering and overall details.  Thanks for sharing.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!
