1972 Mercury Montego GT --Completed
Posted by Model Mark on Sunday, July 07, 2019 8:03 PM

I acquired the Montego GT transkit from ebay and used a 72 Torino promo as the donor for the chassis and glass. The Montego/Mercury photo-etched scripts are from The Missing Link.

Quite a bit of body work required to smooth out imperfections. Bumpers could not be chrome plated very smooth due to the resin quality, but held the plating.

The transkit I got was missing the tail lights. I had to make my own, but they didn't come out as nice as I wanted.

If anyone can help me contact the resin caster to find out whether I can get the tail lights supplied to me that would be very appreciated.

Thanks for looking....

From what I can see, it looks pretty good!  It would probably look a lot better if that Photobucket logo wasn't in the middle of the picture.
