70 Boss 302 in Citrus Yellow
Posted by Modlbldr on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 11:06 AM

I started this last May and got stalled on it after I messed up the hood decal. I stripped the hood and repainted it and got a replacement decal from a fellow modeler before losing momentum. A couple of weeks ago I picked it back up and began the detailing on the engine. I am using the excellent two part article from Tim Boyd in the Dec 99 and Jan 2000 SAE mag as a reference.

Here is where I am at today after a couple of weekends of engine detailing.

That should just about catch everyone up. I am energized for this one again but I am dreading the hood decal.

All comments and criticisms welcomed.

Nice gloss on that.

G'day modlbldr.  Yes, the colour does look different in the photos, what is the paint?  And how does it look in daylight?  Great work on the engine detailing, too.  Are you intending extra detailing on the interior as well?  I'll be following along with this build, please keep up the progress photos.  Cheers.

G'day modlbldr.  Thanx for the chassis and interior photos, and also the extra info on the paint.  It all looks really authentic, she's gunna be a beauty when she's finished.  Cheers.

Thanks Steve. I did a bit more plugging away at the engine last night. Been pretty busy lately with life.
