1969 Dodge Charger Daytona--- 1/25 Revell WIP

I am going to build this pretty much stock, I want to see the bugs in the kit before I attempt the second kit which has NASCAR parts. This will be a stock 440, yellow with white stripe and wing with black interior. ---John

The engine is done and I am using the exhausts to space the headers while they dry. This is the color I will be painting my Daytona.---John

Looking good so far, John! That yellow 1:1 is quite an inspiration. Good call! I'll be following along. Thumbs Up

I have that kit also but am thinking of a blue with white back stripe and a black vinyl top possibly.  not sure yet. You must like yellow cars via your profile pic too? About the only yellow car i like is Daisy Dukes satalite / road runner from Dules of Hazzard. To each is own

I like yellow cars, Milners 32 Deuce coupe especially. Not fond of blue, to each his own.---John

I have the interior all glued up. I am going to spray it semi gloss black

then pick out the details, window cranks, door handles etc. with a small

paint brush and silver paint.---John

It would have been easier to detail the interior before assembly.

Actually no. I have my own way of detailing things and I sometimes

don't do things the "standard " way which is easier for me. I've tried

it all ways and find this best for ME. Just saying.---John

I have the Pro Modeler kit also, it's very similar but NOT this kit. This

kit has NO NASCAR parts or 426 Hemi. Not sure what car I will do when

I get around to mine.---John

Thanks, I have my own unique ways after 56 years of trying

everyone elses. Sometimes I do it that way sometimes I feel it

better to put all the same color parts on and spray it to get everything

"blended". Interior done.---John

I get that. A real car's interior is actually a blend of diffrent tones and textures. No right or wrong way. Didn't mean to imply you were wrong.
