1970 Oldsmobile 442

This is made up of 3 kits. The first one I bought semi built. Someone had cut a hole in the bonnet. So I sprayed the car in metallic red, put some chrome wheels on it and then a shallow hood scoop to cover the hole in the bonnet.
Sadly after 15 years it was starting to look tired, so I stripped it, ordered a new bonnet from Modelhaus. Unfortunately, the hood was a dreadful fit (not one of Modelhaus' finest efforts), and the paint didn't come off to easily, so the body got damaged quite badly.

Two years later I saw another one built up with no engine, some crap custom wheels, tooth picks for axles (thats different) and custom front and back end panels.

So I paid £10 for it, stripped it, and used the body, and hood off it and binned off the Modlehaus bonnet. Added my stock bumpers and interior and chassis parts from my first 442.

I found some tyres and wheels from the 69 Olds 442 and the stripes are the custom stripes off the AMT 70 Impala kit.

Very nicely done. I haven't seen too many of this one built up. All your hard work and part sourcing has paid off!

Your attention to detail, super clean build style and determination to resurrect these hulks continues to impress. That is one sharp Olds!
