Rusty Hemi Satelite/GTX

I build this rusty pile when I was 18 y/o or so.

Its one one the rare build that I still have (i'm 40)

Back then I was full on details, the more the better, I always wanted to win Best in Show.

ie: It had working headlight, talilight, reverse light that were working with the shifter and yes even the brake pedal worked! didn't last, but it did work.

Also bucket were tilt/move foward, cigarette in ashtray

Fully detailled 426 hemi

Some details: baffle in muffler, intake & winshield tank open and emptied etc etc...

Its was my first effort in ''weathering'' and I did ok back then, I will restore this one later on. Its slowly falling apart :(

Lots of pics!

I just went through all the pics and I am impressed. What an excellent display of weathering technique. Someday I have got to try a junker.

Wow, i mean...WOW!! That's mind blowing!! The detail is outrageous! Very cool concept as well, one i've thought about many times but have yet to attempt, the rusty field find and the restored version next to it. Well done!!

Looking at that first post I felt like Nancy Kerrigan. "WWWWWWWHHYYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!"

Once I got over it I was blown away by the weathering and rust details! Magnificent work! Just... just next time... pick a bloody FORD or something!! ;)

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

Truly fricking amazing detail!

I live in the rust belt and I have seen real cars that look exactly this way. Great job!

What a great junker! Excellent photos too. Real thought process went into that: rocker resting on tire/wheel ass'y, trunk filled up with debris, torn seat upholstery - love the rear brake ass'y detail.

That is a fantastic build!

Too many models to build in a lifetime.

Excellent work. There is some very mature thinking there for an 18 year old. Very impressive.
