Agents of SHIELD Hell Charger

Forgot to post this here, it was my final build of 2017! Driven by Ghost Rider in last season's Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., I used Revell's '69 kit with lots of scratchbuilding and donations from the parts box. I also added some LEDs to the blower to simulate Ghost Rider's "Flame On." Comments/criticisms welcome!

Here it is with agent Coulson's '62 Corvette "Lola" (in-progress and finished pics of her are available here):

Hello Spencer,

Those look great.  That diff cover is freaky.  Did the coil-overs come with the kit or did you mod them?  Really nice, clean work.  Dig the Corvette too.  Cool name.  "I'm not dumb, but I can't understand how you make such clean models with your own two hands".  Smile

Criticism??!  You gotta be kidding!  What a fantastic car. Lovely paint and the engine bay is amazing.

Feelings are like scents: The more they are analyzed, the worse they smell.

Thanks guys! The coilovers were scratchbuilt, using the ends/spring plates from the kit.

Criticism??!  You gotta be kidding!

I infer that this was directed at me.  I certainly wasn't criticizing Spencers work.  The joke is that the Corvettes name is Lola, and the sentence in quotes is a modified lyric from the Kinks song "Lola".

I was actually saying "Man I can't believe how good the work you do is."

Well, it's not official cannon, but...

I think he was responding to my request for criticisms back up top. There was a debate a while back about whether people could or should give full critiques unless the builder expressly stated they welcomed it. So now I always put that line there so people know they're welcome to fire away, good or bad, and it's all appreciated.

Ugh, I have made a fool of myself.  I missed your request at the top and heard accusation when there was none.  I was not aware of the debate that previously transpired.  Forgive me justmike and everyone else.

It appeared to me that you got the reference, but not everyone knows all of my obscure goofball references.  I just wanted to make sure that anything I said would not be taken in any other way than positive.

I'll go make some toast to get this egg off my face.

Just keep picking away at it...

No worries; been there many, many, (many) times myself. Smile I can't even remember how long ago the kerfluffle happened, odds are it was before you joined and the thread may very well have been deleted in the years since
