I've had the body, chassis & interior for this one painted for over two years, and started building it just two weekends ago. Got it completed tonight. Color is Testors clear red enamel over a gold base. Amazingly, there is no clear coat on this model. Over the last couple of years, I have switched to lacquer paints for all of my builds, so this is likely my last enamel paint job, but I was surprised how well it turned out. I was also impressed with the detail on this kit, much better than some other AMT offerings.

Beauiful build!!! That color is incredible and I really like the classic factory stock look.

In all my years of model building I have never been able to achieve the tremendous paint job that is shown here. What an excellent job. Thanks for posting.Yes

Absolutely stunning build. I'd like to try painting a body using Testors clear red enamel after seeing this model.

I've always been a fan of the Monte Carlo and have a couple of these kits.

It looks really nice! Beautiful combo! I wish I could get those chromed trims quality in my models some day...

Where did the wheels come from?

This has to be the nicest Monte Carlo model that I ever saw. Very cool!
