Pro street Mach 1 Mustang...
Posted by mini man on Monday, November 13, 2017 9:50 AM

Fancy doing a pro street Mustang mach 1..

The floor and inner tub from a Nova fit nicely enough, this will be a 'back burner' job....

Started off by creating some fender lips for the front.

A test fit of the floor, not too bad!

Mixing up some 'Bobs brew' for the rockers as someone with the IQ of a fish tore the location points...

....

The underside is taking shape.

The first of umpteen mockups!

Well the inner surgery is coming along, once the dash has cured it can be smoothed down a tad.

The tub is together, once cured it can be  tidied up..

The shell has had a tickle of primer.

matt black hood sound like a good idea . Did your kit have the louvered cover for the rear window ? if not , I have one going if you want it , my pro touring one has a rear full of nitrous & amps from a maisto '68 diecast ( along with the deep 22" wheels...) .... and I don't need it !!

too bad the Nova had to bite the dust to build the mustangWink

I would like to get a 3d printer and scanner to create prostreet chassis' instead of trying to back half models. It would be nice to scan the stock chassis modify it in CAD and then print it. life would be good, beer would fall from the heavens, and you could save a model from the crusher.

I like to work just as much as I don't.

What motor are you using ?? I might be putting a couple of turbos on my 302 small block "pro touring" one . If I can make the pipes fit under the stock hood/bonnet ! Molotow work looks great - don't forget the door handles !!
