1967 Dodge Coronet R/T WIP

I bought this some time ago when kits were still in the $14.99 range and this one was marked down to $5.39 at Hobby Lobby. I want to see how the Krylon Caramel Latte Brushed Metallic finish will look on a body, hopefully like a Champagne Gold, pretty close to a color for this model year. Interior will be black and gold using same color. Suppose to be a pretty nice day today so maybe I can get everything painted. Thanks for looking! Cool

If you cannot have a good time, what kinda time can you have? JR

Next on the bench:  Another 1970 Hemi 'Cuda, 1958 Chevy Impala, 1987 Buick GNX, 1950 Chevy Pick-up, Indy Reynard, 1965 Corvette, probably not in this order.

Lovely looking kit . Yet another one on my list ' to get ' !! Confused

I was thinking of Dodge / Plymouth twins .

Matching paint wheels & motor etc , ( the '67 GTX with this Coronet ...)

Thanks, McLovin and Spencer! I appreciate your comments! Spencer, I have the 67 GTX in my closet too. But I won't steal your idea! I primered everything yesterday and hope to get the color coats and clear on today.  Thanks for looking! Cool

Two coats of Krylon Caramel Latte and 3 coats of Wet Look Clear. I decided to use the Wet Look Clear as I haven't used it for long while and thought I should give it a try. I really like the color! Thanks for looking! Cool

I like this colour, it should look really sharp on this body style! Looking forward to the finished build!

Thanks, Potato Cam! I appreciate your comment!

I rubbed the body out today and it looked ok but a little dry, if you will. So I gave it another coat of Wet Look clear. Looks pretty good now but you may not be able to see the shine due to the color. I'll rub it out a bit and then it will be ready for foil tomorrow. Thanks for looking! Cool

Nice start!! That color looks like it could be right out of Dodges color pallet for '67!!

Looking good Jr!  I built a '67 Coronet R/T several years ago with a 440 CI with steelies and dog dishes.  Everything underneath is shared with the '67 Dodge Charger and the '67 Plymouth GTX.

Thanks, All! I appreciate your comments!

I've been busy the last couple of afternoons after school. My 11-year old grandson had a birthday last weekend so I got him a Revell Halo snaptite that he wanted. So he has been busy putting it together with a little supervision. He thinks he's getting pretty good at building models. Here it is:

I've also rubbed out the body and added the foil:

Both look great ! I have always liked the designs on Halo machinery & body armour , but I get a bit "cardiac" playing stressful games , so I'll stick to Sims thanks very much ! LOL
