Who makes the best supercharger
Posted by Sinisterhooligan on Saturday, January 28, 2017 11:10 AM

I'm looking for a Paxton type supercharger and found one at B-N resins but would like to know if there is any better quality than that. Any help would be great.

Not sure if you have already found a Paxton yet. If so, check this link for future projects...https://www.shapeways.com/shops/3d-model-specialties?section=1%2F25+Scale&s=0

First page has a few crank drives, check out his shop and look through the scale choices from list on left. Awesome stuff. I've ordered from Shapeways before. High quality items. If you can swing the $$$, get the items in "Frosted Ultra Detail", it's more $ than resin, but waaaay worth it.   Craig.

I spent HOURS...  at shapeways. Oh my !

a  1/8 blown & injected hemi to go in my big-T kit ... but it would cost twice as much as the car though.... so much I want there ! Crying

a 1/25th "christmas tree" light set up at £6 ! ok , I can do that !! LOL

I've passed it on at another forum in the UK , they love it too !

There's two basic kinds of superchargers: Positive displacement and centrifugal. Positive displacement ones include the sorts sold by B&M, Eaton, and the Whipplecharger. Centrifugal superchargers include Paxton and Vortech. The positive displacement superchargers make more power at every RPM, while the centrifugal ones add most of their power at the top of the RPM range. However, centrifugal superchargers are more efficient in most cases, which can make them not as much of a threat to your engine. Write Me an Cheap Essay & Your call as to which one you want - do you want to have the extra power at 2000 RPM, or are you the sort who loves winding it up to the redline? Many supercharger companies sell their units as packages that include all the engine mods you will need, but you may want to beef up the transmission and differential too. Call the company selling the package - they'll have a list of what engine parts you need, and might even be able to tell you if the rest of the drivetrain can handle it.
